Are there less opportunities now than it was 25 years ago?

9-11 changed the whole game slowly but surely. There were more opportunities where I live by far just the day before it happened. I still remember being laid off from my second job the very next day after it happened. Gas was a little over a dollar a gallon where I live, it was very cheap to buy groceries and cook your own food at home. Everything was so much better economically, it is time for us to adapt and overcome or our economy will only get worse.
