Can I run minecraft perfectly on my laptop?

I think it will be ok, my computer has 448 mb of ram and i can run it quite well, but i have the fog distance on tiny most the time when i play unless im looking for something, and even then its playably laggy. Btw if you dont know, heres a trick that i use to improve my minecraft speed. Go to task manager while the game is running, go to processes, find javaw.exe and right click and experiment with different priority settings. It makes the performance of mine much better.
