Good laptop specs???

We're looking for a good laptop that can perform quickly and play games decently (nothing crazy) - it's mainly for working and studying. We're considering an ASUS laptop. What would you recommend the specs be, like what ghz, ram, processor or brand name? Any additional details and specific answers are appreciated.
