Why does Filch Run up to Dumbledore in the Goblet of Fire?

At the beginning of the movie Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Filch runs up to Dumbledore during his speech about the Triwizard cup. Though why does this happen? It doesn't make any reference to it later on..
