How does the Goblet cells function in the integumentary system?

The endodermis of the skin contains sebaceous glands which contains goblet cells the secrete many types of secretions (oils, mucus[pus], and some salts). Goblet cells mainly secrete mucus and sebum. It is a long lobular cell present in the ciliated columnar epithelial cells and the entire cell contains a nucleus and cytoplasm (secretion).
