Did snape know about voldemorts plan in the goblet of fire?

in harry potter and gof, did snape know about voldemorts plan that crouch jr. was going to enter harry into the tournament and cause him to win in it and also help voldemort come back? after all, snape was a double agent and if he knew that, he definitely would have stopeed him?
