Can someone explain this to me? (Harry Potter related)?

I still dont understand how harry potter survived the killing curse in the forest in deathly hallows? How did the killing curse only kill the horcrux inside of him since voldemort obviously wouldnt go for that on purpose? Also can someone explain the importance of voldemort using harrys blood for his re-birth in the goblet of fire and how that played a part in his death
